An Appreciation

(By Principal Shri. Y. M. Juvale M. A.)

I have been an old friend of Prof. Krishnarao Tendulkar and his brothers Mangeshrao and Vasantrao. I have keenly followed his career the many ups and downs of his life. The struggles he had to encounter would have easily shaken the faith of any ordinary man. But he stood like a rock against all onslaughts of difficulties and chilling poverty and kept his faith in his cause undimmed. His has been a life of dedication… single-minded devotion … to the cause of Music. For the fulfilment of this mission, he has spared no pains, counted no cost.

It is a matter of great rejoicing that at the age of 65, be still clings to his vision, retains the exuberance and the alertness of youth, and dreams of traversing fields and pastures anew. He is twice-blessed. He has accomplished what few people of note succeed in achieving; He has succeeded not only in Training hundreds of his pupils but in imbruing his brothers and his sonBindu Madhav with his dreams and his faith and this ensures that the cause, which he has cherished and to which he has given his all, will continue to blaze and shine resplendently for at least a generation more.

A little introduction of these devoted brothers and son of Prof. Krishnarao will, I think, be not out of place.
